Raynham Stables COVID-19 Policies
The safety of our clients and staff members remains our number one priority. Due to the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Raynham Stables is taking extra precautions, including a self-declaration of health and enhanced sanitation/disinfection procedures in accordance with Equestrian Canada and the Province of Ontario’s recommendations.
Do NOT come to the barn if you, or anyone in your household:
Vaccine Passports:
We have received notice that we are classified as a “Sports and Recreational Facility” under the vaccine passport regulations. This means that:
Covid-19 Procedures:
We are required by law to follow Public Health and provincially mandated guidelines. We realize everyone is tired of so many restrictions, but our wonderful staff just implements policies as instructed, so any rudeness or aggressiveness towards them will not be tolerated. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these policies, please speak with one of the owners, Lindsay, Caryn, or Nikki, or send us an email if we are not available when you are here.

Do NOT come to the barn if you, or anyone in your household:
- Has any new or worsening symptoms of Covid-19 unrelated to known causes or chronic conditions: fever and/or chills, cough or barking cough (croup), shortness of breath, decrease or loss of smell or taste, fatigue and/or malaise (for adults), nausea/vomiting, and/or diarrhea (for <18 years of age)
- Has been in close contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19.
Vaccine Passports:
We have received notice that we are classified as a “Sports and Recreational Facility” under the vaccine passport regulations. This means that:
- All participants ages 18 and up must provide proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption to the tack-up help upon entry to the tack-up area. Participants under the age of 18 are exempt as per O. Reg. 364/20.
- All spectators ages 12 and up must provide proof of vaccination or valid medical exemption to the instructor if viewing lessons in the indoor arenas.
- Proof of vaccination is NOT required for viewing lessons outdoors.
Covid-19 Procedures:
- Riders under the age of 18 (or those that need a drive to the barn) may have a parent or spectator stay and watch their lesson from the bleachers in the big arena or loft for the small arena. Only riders are permitted in the barns/tack-up area. During good weather, when classes are running outdoors, additional spectators are permitted.
- Masks must be worn when in any of the indoor spaces (tack-up area, tack rooms, barns).
- Masks must be work outdoors if you need to get within 2 meters of another person.
- Masks do not need to be worn while riding (being on a horse is great for ensuring physical distancing!). Masks with a tie instead of ear loops are easy to drop down while riding, or make sure you have a pocket!
- Please be sure to clean all tack thoroughly with saddle soap and water after each use.
