Raynham Riders
Raynham Riders, our show team, is made up of riding school students
and boarders that are competing at horse shows this season. All of
the students showing this season are hard working, dedicated riders that
are passionate about horses. We are very proud of all of them and
will be posting information about their successes throughout the show
season.
Katie Bondrager
Katie is a 13 year old
working student who started riding before she could walk...literally! Katie
started showing hunters when she was four years old but since being at
Raynham has been bitten by the Eventing bug. This horse nut began riding at
Raynham two years ago and has recently moved her Mum's horse Willie to the
barn. This will be Katie's first year eventing and she and Willie (First
Impression) will be starting out at the Entry Level, hoping to move up to
Pre-Training soon! Katie is very excited to be on the Raynham show
team and is gearing towards Kentucky in the Fall.
Tori Marshall
Tori is 13 years old and has been riding for
five years. She has been riding at Raynham for two years now. This will be her
second season eventing. She is riding one of our school horses,
a 7 year old pony gelding
name Scooter, a.k.a. Razzmataz! She will be competing in 7 events
this summer and has moved up to the Pre-training level. She is very excited!
Whitney Curran
Whitney
is 15 years old and has been riding for six years. Five of those
years have been here at Raynham Stables! She spends most of her time at
the barn during the summer as she is one of our wonderful working
students. For the past two years she competed on super school pony, Jynx.
As she has grown quiet a bit she has moved on to a horse, Shamrock!
This is Shamrock's first show season. They are starting out at
Pre-training and hope to compete in the United States again this fall.
Emily Robertson
Emily is 18 years old
and has been riding for 12 years. She has been at Raynham Stables
for over 4 years now and has been eventing since she got here! Emily has been showing some of
Raynham's horses. Her first show season was on Ringwood Conrad, then she
took up a challenge competing Raynham Magic at the training level two
years ago. Her partner again this year is Beau, a 7 year old
thoroughbred gelding. They tackled the Midsouth Team Challenge last fall and
had a great time! This year they are upgrading to training.
Hayley Cairns

Hayley is 17
years old and has been riding for 11 years.
She has been riding Raynham for two years now and is looking forward to eventing
with us again this summer. Hayley is riding Iggy, a 17.1hh thoroughbred
geilding. Iggy is only 5 and this will be his first full show season.
He is very talented and we know this season will be fun for both of them! The
pictures are of Hayley riding Jake, her mount from a few years ago.
Margaret Hyslop Margaret
is a 19 years old and has just completed her first year at York
University. She has been riding for 11
years, the last 4 have been at Raynham Stables. Margaret is one of our
instructors, teaching beginners and during summer camp. She began her
riding career in hunters, jumpers and pony club but has now fallen in love
with eventing! She has competed with quite a few of Raynham's horses and
this year will be showing Rumba. Jen
Ritchie
Jen is 18
years old and has been riding for the past eleven years. She has
been working hard here at Raynham to complete all of qualifications for her
Coaching Level 1. She will be teaching some of our beginner lessons
and helping out with camp. In the past
she has competed in hunter/jumpers but she fell in love with eventing
after coming to Raynham Stables. She had a very two successful
season on Molly, "Good as Gold" competing up to the training level.
This year she has paired up with Beau and they are competing at training.
Karen Whylie

Karen Whylie began riding on a trip to Ireland in 1977 when she
jumped on her cousin’s pony bareback in the paddock. Back in Toronto
she declared, no more ballet lessons – I want to ride horses.
Sidetracked by the hunter/jumper world as a junior with her horses
Cool Wind and Matchmaker, Karen discovered eventing in her twenties
showing Margaret Godson’s lovely grey thoroughbred, Teaspoon. Her
partner for the last few years, Mattie a.k.a. “Paris Match” will be out at
the Training division again this season. Right now, she’s just trying to keep up with the 17 year-olds!
Other students competing this
season include Alison Cheeseman, Cassie Gourley, Brittany Durham, Elana
Shvalbe, Dawn Whitehead, Sarah Cranston, Erica Weatherall, Shannon Szarota,
Beckie Mussato, Dawn Szarota and hopefully a few others!
Please
submit your rider profile and photo as soon as possible show
