NEW for Summer Camp 2010!

Each season we introduce new activities to keep camp exciting and fresh!  We know campers are going to love this years additions.

Wacky Wednesdays : Every Wednesday is going to be a special theme day.  Crazy Days include:  Backwards Day (dress and ride!), Crazy Hat Day (decorate your helmet), Happy UnBirthday Day, Twin Day, Tacky Day, Wet & Wild Day, Pajama Day and much, much more!

Stable Management: We've totally redesigned our stable management program.  Material is broken down into levels based on age groups.  This will ensure our younger campers will be able to continue to progress successfully through the upper levels.  All material is now going to be presented through games and hands-on activities.  We know campers are going to LOVE the new program!

Camper's Choice Award Banquet: Campers will get to vote on awards for their counselors and nominate fellow campers for awards.  We'll all get dressed up for dinner at overnight and present awards afterwards.    Awards will include:  Best Dressed Counselor, Best Fall, Highest Jump, Future Camp Counselor, Loudest Camper, Stable Management Certificates and more! (Don't worry, we'll save the Camper Awards and Riding Level Certificates for parents show)

Program Options

On the first day, campers fill out a Program Option Selection Sheet, ranking their top choices for program options.  Campers will participate in two program options every morning.  Each program option runs on a one week schedule so campers get to try two new options during week two!

Here are the program options campers choose from:

Archery

Learn some basic archery skills then put them to the test while playing archery games!  You’ll play games such as Golf, Marbles, V-Shoot, Target Shooting and more.  Most improved archer wins the Robin Hood award!

Arts & Crafts

You’ll complete 3 – 5 crafts over the four days.  All the crafts are horsey or theme based.  We’ll make horseshoe dream catchers, stained glass, Pony Banks, horse pins, and more!

Barn Fun

Can’t get enough time with horses?  Pick Barn Fun and you’ll do all of your favourite barn activities such as how to braid, painted pony, tack cleaning contest, bathing and more!

NEW Creative Cooks

During the 4 days you’ll create two horse treats and two people treats such as cookies, muffins or mini pizzas!

NEW Low Ropes

Have a blast playing on our NEW low ropes course.  Challenges include the Spider Web, Hanging Tire, Climbing Wall, Trust Fall, Shrinking Island and more!

NEW Mad Science

Create an exploding volcano and protect a plummeting egg!  Race balloon rockets and create slimy gloop.  These are just a few of the crazy activities we’ll do!

NEW Nature Sense

Ever wonder what kind of wildlife (besides horses!) lives at Raynham Stables?  Discover what’s in our own backyard using your five senses.  Build frog rafts, create sun catchers, rain sticks and more!

Sports & Games

We’ll play all of the best games from last year (dodge ball, anyone?) plus tons of exciting new games! Buzz Tag, Caged Lion, Blob Tag, Soccer Baseball and so much more!

Water Fun

Ever wonder what it would be like to play Twister if it was wet? What if it was soapy as well and on a hill?  Get ready for some hilarious good times as we have fun staying cool.  Dunk & Run, Drip… Drip… Drop, Water Balloon Hot Potato and more!
