Where
are the
camp
programs
located?
Our programs are run at Raynham Stables, a 46 acre equestrian facility located in the heart of beautiful King Township in the town of Nobleton. Our facility boasts three outdoor riding rings and two indoor arenas for riding in all weather. We have an air-conditioned lunch and arts & crafts room to beat the heat on hot days. As we are just minutes away from Hwy 400 or Hwy 427, our campers come from all around the GTA. Click here for a map of our location. -
Are you a nut-sensitive facility?
Yes, we ask that families please pack lunches and snacks that are nut-sensitive.
-
What is
your
camper
to staff
ratio?
We have an excellent camper to staff ratio of 4:1. This ensures your child has a safe camp experience when working with horses. Our riding lesson class size is a maximum of 6 for advanced riders and a maximum of 4 for beginners. All classes are taught by a qualified instructor and beginner classes have an additional assistant so the ratio is 2:1. For more information on our terrific staff, click on the Staff link.
-
Do you
have
extended
care
service?
Yes, for the majority of our day camp programs we offer the option of also registering your child(ren) for our extended care service. Morning service runs from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and the afternoon service runs from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Morning extended care is complementary. Afternoon care is $30/week. Please let us know if you will require extended care when registering.
-
Do you
have
camper
forms
that are
required
to be
completed?
Yes, all Raynham Stables day campers are required to submit a Camper Contact & Medical Form prior to the start of their program. This form is now kept on file at the office once completed and we ask that parents or guardians notify us if there are any changes. All campers must also complete a release waiver before participating in any programs. The Camper Contact & Medical Form can be filled out online.
-
How do I
register?
There are three convenient options to choose from when registering for camp programs: Registering in Person, Registering by Telephone, or Registering Online. Please review the Registration tab for further details.
-
Can I
withdraw,
transfer,
or get a
refund
for
registration
in camp?
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a space in the session. If notice of cancellation is given less than 7 days from the start of the session, a 50% cancellation fee applies. After the session begins there are no refunds unless accompanied by a medical certificate. In this case, refunds will be pro-rated and will be subject to the administration levy. No administration fees will be charged if you transfer your child to a different program (space permitting).
-
What is
the
drop-off
and
pick-up
procedure
for
camp?
Upon drop-off in the mornings, staff require parents/guardians to check in with attendance. Staff will take attendance and assign the children to the appropriate staff leader and location to start their day. At this time, any special information that should be shared with staff may be communicated.
At normal pick-up time, parents/guardians will be required to check-out their child(ren) in person with an attending staff member. This time also provides staff with the opportunity to discuss the child's day with parents/guardians.
If an adult other than parents/guardians is to pick up your child, please ensure that you communicate the information to staff at drop-off time. If we have not been notified about the change, we will not be able to release the child until we contact your for verbal permission.
-
Do you
administer
medications?
Program staff cannot administer prescribed medications unless an Authorization of Administration form has been completed by the parent/guardian. Forms may be completed upon arrival at your child's program to allow further discussion with staff.
When medication is provided to staff, it must be in its original container and bear a current prescription label which will be cross-referenced with the Authorization of Administration form. When a unit of measurement is required for medication, please supply a dosage implement with the medication (example, teaspoon). The implement must be labeled with the child's name.
For self-administered medications, such as asthma inhalers or epi-pens, children are required to bring an extra to have at camp daily to eliminate any chance of forgetting this life-saving medication at home. During the program, the children carry their backpacks with them or their counselor may carry their meds for them.
-
Do you
use
photos
taken at
camp for
program
promotion?
In the course of all program activities, photos may be taken and audio-visual recordings may be made. Raynham Stables reserves the right to use all photographs and videos of all our programs, participants, special events and facilities for promotional purposes. If you do not want your child to be a part of our promotional materials, please let us know on your Camper Contact & Medical Form.
-
Do you
have a
policy
for
participant
risk?
The participant (or parent/guardian if the participant is under the age of 18) voluntarily assumes any risk of injury or damage in connection with the use of services of facilities, and releases, discharges and agrees to indemnify and save harmless Raynham Stables and its employees, agents and volunteers from any liability, claim, demand or costs whatsoever incurred arising out of the participation of the participant in the program or facility. A release waiver must be filler out and signed by the parent/guardian by the start of camp.
-
Do you
accept
post-dated
cheques?
A $50 deposit is due at registration to hold the child's space in the session. You may provide a post-dated cheque for the balance dated for one week before the start of the session. All session fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the session.
-
Can I
pick up
my child
early?
If you are picking up your child before the normal pick-up time, please let the sign-in staff know at drop off so we can ensure that your child is ready for pick up when you arrive. (We don't want to have them in the pool or on a horse if you need to leave early!).
-
Do you sell camp merchandise for campers?
Campers are required to purchase a camp tee for Parent Show. Campers sign each other tees on the final day of camp and the shirts become a favourite memento of camp! We also offer a great line-up of other items for our campers such as hats, sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts and backpacks. Items are available for purchase at our camp store. -
Can
my child
participate
if
he/she
has
special
needs,
allergies,
or
medical
conditions?
If your child has special needs - physical, cognitive or behavioural - a one-to-one support staff may be required to assist your child while at day camp. Please contact us (905) 859-0057 before registering to discuss your child's needs, and together determine if your child can safely attend a riding camp. Allergies and medical conditions simply require communication in advance to prepare staff in order to provide a safe and successful experience while at camp.

What do
campers
